Since 1923, when the Union Pacific Railroad first steamed into nearby Cedar
City, this area has been known as "The Gateway to the National Parks." The
area boasts what is arguably the best central location for easy access to
some of the world's most magnificent scenery. Residents and guests of Brian
Head are within 90 minutes of Bryce and Kolob Canyons and Zion National
Park. Cedar Breaks National Monument is only 5 minutes away and nearby
Panguitch and Navajo Lakes boast the best boating and fishing in the area.
