Brian Head Resort is southern Utah’s southernmost ski resort. For years, Brian Head has been an uncovered gem for outdoor enthusiasts. With thoughtful development plans, key entitlements, and water rights now secured, the Resort is poised to blossom as a year round destination for the fast growing markets of Las Vegas, Southern California and southern Utah. The Resort is within a three-hour drive from Las Vegas and in the midst of the Grand Circle of National Parks. The climate and alpine beauty create a place where people can appreciate nature and enjoy the outdoors year round. It has reliably excellent snow and a cozy, charming atmosphere.
The Resort has recently completed its first phase of improvements - an $8 million Interconnect System with two new lifts, a new ski bridge and expanded terrain - to integrate and develop skiing of the two mountains. Plans for a new detachable quad will greatly speed skier transport and increase capacity, and two additional chairlifts will open 250 acres of new intermediate and advanced terrain in Alpine Creek. Approvals exist for the next phase of its development plans to transform Brian Head into an upscale year-round alpine get-away offering all the benefits of a thriving mountain resort.
The Resort has engaged Hart Howerton, one of the premiere resort land planners in the world, to design a new Ski Village. The proposed Ski Village will sit at the base of the Giant Steps chair lift, which will synergistically become a new high-speed detachable quad. The new Ski Village contains 57,820 square feet ground floor commercial space and over 186,000 square feet of residential units. The Ski Village will create a center for skier and outdoor activities and provide upscale lodging and amenities.
The Resort controls and creates the only ski-in ski-out real estate in the area. Successful development of its Trails at Navajo subdivision with 73 ski-in ski-out single family lots on 55 acres has raised the bar for quality and planning of single family real estate. Numerous additional ski-in ski- out subdivision projects are planned including Vistas at Navajo, Paradise Point and Pine Creek Woods. These premium residential lots have been designed by Mike Larson, a specialist in ski planning and trail design, with notable success in Vail and Beaver Creek.
