Can my children be with their friends?

Yes, if they are the same discipline and ability, and are participating in the same program (i.e., Mountain Explorers or Tiny Tracks). Please let the instructor know at sign-in.

My children have their own equipment. Do they get a discount?

No. The lift ticket, lesson, and rentals are an all-inclusive package. A lesson only is available if you have a season pass or have purchased a multi-day lift ticket and will only be in Kid's Camp one day.

Can I make a reservation for Kid's Camp?

Yes, reservations are required for Day Care, Wee Ski and Tiny Tracks. Mountain Explorers classes are on a first come, first serve basis.

Can I pre-register for Kid's Camp?

Yes. You can pre-register for Kid's Camp the day prior from 3:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. By pre-registering, ou will avoid any lines the following day.

Can I make reservations for Tiny Tracks, Wee Ski or Day Care?

Yes. Reservations are required a minimum of 48 hours in advance. Space is limited due to smaller class size and licensing regulations. All children in the Tiny Tracks and Wee Ski Programs must be potty trained. You may request reservations online here.

Is the Daycare a licensed facility?

Yes. The Brian Head Resort Daycare Center is a state-licensed facility, and follows all rules and regulations related thereto.

Do I need to bring anything to the Daycare?

Yes, if you have a child in diapers or pull-ups, please bring those as well as wipes. Also, if you have an infant, please bring formula, breast milk, and/or baby food. We will provide snacks, drinks and lunch for toddlers and older children.

Will my 4 or 5 year old ride the chair by him or herself?

No, all 4 and 5 year olds will ride with an adult or qualified assistant.

Will my 3 year old ride the chairlift?

No, 3-year-olds in the Wee Ski program do not ride the chairlift. Our goal is to introduce them to snow play, and for them to have fun and want to come back.

Does Kid's Camp and Tiny Tracks include lunch?

Yes, the registration fee includes the lift ticket, lesson, equipment, and lunch.

What time do half-day lessons begin?

Registration for half-day lessons begins at noon. Lessons start at 1:30 p.m. and do include lunch. Half-day lessons are based on availability. You may purchase an all-day lesson package and sign your child out after lunch (that way you have an all day lift ticket and rental equipment).

If my child can ski, does that mean he/she will be good at snowboarding?

Not necessarily. Snowboarding is a more difficult sport to learn initially than skiing. The balance (stance) and muscle coordination is completely different in snowboarding than in skiing.

My 5 year old is really athletic, does that mean he/she will be good at snowboarding?

No. The muscle development and coordination of a five year old usually is not conducive to snowboarding. We do not offer snowboard lessons in Kid's Camp for 5 or 6-year-olds. We do, however, offer private lessons.

How will you determine my child's class level?

Our instructors will ask a series of questions for pre-placement then the child will be evaluated on the mountain and placed in the appropriate class.

May I eat lunch with my child?

No. You may check on your child or sign them out for lunch, but due to the number of children in Kid's Camp, you may not eat in Camp with your child.

How will I be contacted if my child becomes ill or injured?

Our first attempt to contact you will be via the telephone number listed on the release form (i.e., cellphone). If you are on the mountain, at the base of each lift is a chalkboard. We will place a chalkboard message asking you to contact us or come back to Kid's Camp.

Can my child change disciplines (i.e. snowboard to ski)?

No. Classes will have already been set and availability limited.

Can I attend or watch my child's class?

We encourage you to enjoy your time to yourself on the mountain. (Children tend to pay more attention to to the instructor when the parents aren't present).

Yes, multi-day purchase is available. However, please be aware that a multi-day purchase is non-refundable.
