12/14/12 - First Powder Day!

Maybe it is just coincidence, or maybe our dogs are showing they are truly powder hounds when they wake us up at 0-dark thirty on days when this is the scene on our back porch.

Yahoo! (Or are we now supposed to exclaim Google!?) This looked like the biggest dump since the lifts have opened so it was likely going to be a great powder day. A scene like this gets the dogs fed a little faster and muscles revving a bit faster in anticipation. One of the reasons we moved here is to enjoy powder days like this with a small crowd of fellow skiers and riders to share all this powder, as was the case on this day.

The snow was easily enough to make for some great powder skiing and riding and the best day so far this season! The storm total is currently at 18" with much more expected this week, so powder skiing has returned to Brian Head. We expect to return to all our favorite powder stashes soon and will surely rub it, we mean, report on our findings.
