Getting more snow
Posted by Tanner Cleveland on January 19, 2013
Had one of the best days up on the mountain yet at the start of this week and the reason is every time I head up to Brian Head there’s more snow.
This time around it wasn’t only because there was more, the snow just seems to be getting fluffier the colder it gets. Suggestions for this week are to go as much as possible while the weather is clear but cold. I haven’t checked on any of the recent storm updates, but right now there’s enough snow as long as the wind keeps down. Chair 5 has been my personal favorite this year and basically provides every kind of terrain for a variety of riders.
The more the snow falls, the bigger the parks get, the better back country and my personal favorite; the natural half pipe gets smoother. What hasn’t been smooth is my riding. With a cracked rib coming at the bottom of Pillows, I’ve had to step back and slow down. Luckily I’ve been able to get some film of some of the homies and have started editing some things.
With my birthday coming up right around the corner in February, the only clear plan is to rent out one of the many complexes provided in the town and spend the night. Go snowboarding in the morning with the crew and hot tub at the end of the day; sounds like a good plan to me.
