Winter Break
Posted by Tanner Cleveland on January 6, 2013
Over the course of our most recent winter break, I’ve realized that the time period could be one of, if not the best time to take advantage of Brian Head Resort.
There has never been a better time to head up the mountain for a great social experience. Everyone is out and about on the mountain, and the fresh blanket of powder that graced Southern Utah didn’t hurt the mountains maximum capacity in the least. I was lucky enough to be able to hit the slopes a couple times and enjoy the snow fall as I rode.
Up to this point in the year the snow hasn’t been what I would hold as a standard, a little bit sticky in places. This snow was light and fluffy, prime pow pow. There’s nothing better than a buttery time before you even get to the park. Speaking of the park, I can’t wait for chair one to open up and see what the people in park crew have to offer up again this season.
Also got a chance to spread the good word to a couple of buddies from California, which means there will be a whole crew of mountain shoobies in the weeks to come. It’ll be fun to take a slow day with a few noobs.
It will all be worth it anyway with the addition of my CountourROAM2 that just made its way into my arsenal. Videos and photos will be on the way for my next set of blogs and after testing the quality of the camera up in Salt Lake over the break I am stoked to present them to everyone.
