The Vista Hiking Trail

Brian Head Resort is home to the stunning Vista Hiking Trail, a must-try experience for hikers. This 4 mile descent begins with a scenic chairlift ride on the Giant Steps Express, carrying guests to the mountain’s peak at 10,000 feet. From there, the Vista Trail winds down the entire Giant Steps side of the resort, offering a marked dirt path through breathtaking alpine landscapes.

With sweeping views at every turn, the trail combines picturesque scenery, a thrilling descent, and unforgettable vistas, making it a standout adventure for hikers of all levels. Whether you’re looking for an invigorating trek or simply want to immerse yourself in the beauty of the mountains, the Vista Hiking Trail at Brian Head Resort delivers an experience unlike any other.

Water, sunscreen, and closed-toed shoes are strongly recommended. Hats, walking sticks, and bug spray would be helpful. The trail can be steep and rocky at times.

Adventure Trail Along the Vista Hiking Trail

Families can add even more fun to their hike with the Adventure Trail, a kid-friendly scavenger hunt located along the Vista Hiking Trail.

Before heading out, hikers will receive a mystery sheet with clues leading to five activity stations throughout the trail. Kids will get the chance to:

• Herd cattle
• Pan for gold
• Mine for diamonds
• Search for fossils
• Create pictographs

Find all five locations and complete the mystery sheet, then bring it back to the ticket office to receive a prize bag.

It is a fun way to keep kids moving, exploring and learning while enjoying time together on the mountain.
