Press & Media Visit Request
Visiting Media Hosting Program
Thank you for your interest in Brian Head Resort! Brian Head is always willing to help journalists with their research and development of media coverage for print, digital, and broadcast media outlets. Since we receive a large volume of media hosting requests throughout the year, the following media hospitality policy and hosting request form allow us to provide the best quality and level of assistance possible.
Our Policies
- Regional media and broadcast crews interested in shooting onsite at Brian Head Resort must contact us as soon as possible, and requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- Each request is assessed based on the type and extent of potential coverage, and a decision is made on the level of support that Brian Head can provide.
- Brian Head assists journalists, freelancers and bloggers but typically cannot accommodate spouses, children or visitors.
- Final decisions are at the discretion of the Brian Head communications team and may be dependent upon situations outside of these guidelines.
Lift Tickets
Complimentary lift tickets may be issued to media on assignment, subject to availability. Lift ticket requests must be made at least two weeks in advance. Media passes will be available at the season pass office from 9:15 am – 4 pm. Photo identification is required.
Lodging
Brian Head Lodge is available to media, depending on availability. Because lodging space is limited, please contact us at least four weeks in advance to make this request. Brian Head cannot guarantee complimentary or discounted lodging for media if not enough notice is given.
Pet Policy
Dogs are welcome at Brian Head Resort as long as they are leashed and accompanied by their owner at all times. Dogs may not be left unattended at any time, either in the unit, your vehicle, or the base area.
Activites & Events
Brian Head may provide complimentary or discounted activities or event tickets, such as lessons, rentals, activities or event tickets to media on assignment who intend to write about these activities, depending on availability. Please contact us at least four weeks in advance to make this request.
Holiday or Peak Periods
Brian Head does not provide complimentary lift tickets or host media during peak periods, including but not limited to Christmas/NYE, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, and Spring Break.
Influencer Policy
Brian Head works with content creators on a case-by-case basis. Each request is assessed based on the type and extent of potential coverage, and a decision is made on the level of support that Brian Head can provide. Please contact us at least two weeks in advance with your specific request, including angle, social media handles, and media kit.
Filming & Photography
Additional approvals are required for commercial filming and photo shoots, which may include Forest Service permits and proof of insurance. Commercial drone use is prohibited on Brian Head’s property, except with written permission from the resort and USFS for use related to special events, marketing, and/or film and photo applications.
