The Ultimate Southern Utah Spring Road Trip

It’s that time of year to plan the ultimate southern Utah spring road trip!

The spring mountain air is here and summer is just around the corner. This is a great time to start thinking about the perfect summer trip to your local National Parks! Located in our very own backyard, Brian Head is surrounded by National Parks and even a National Monument just 4 minutes away.

We’re located less than 2 hours from Zion, Bryce National Park and many more nearby destinations. We’re a perfect place to stop along the way to experience skiing today and the desert tomorrow – all in the same weekend!

Remember, Brian Head Resort has the highest base elevation in Utah at 9,600′ allowing us to maintain snowpack while the rest of the south transitions quickly to warmer weather.


Spring Road Trip

Destinations and Activities:

Bryce Canyon National Park
is a beautiful destination spot popular in the summer. We are enroute via the scenic drive of state route 143 to Scenic Byway 12.

Activities: hiking, backpacking, trail running, bike packing, canyoneering and more.

Zion National Park
is located just south of us. We are an easy pit stop along Interstate 15, off of exit 75. From here your destination is only 1.5 hours away.

Cedar Breaks National Monument
is a local favorite for some beautiful views. Cedar Breaks is located only 4 minutes from Brian Head Resort! Take Scenic Byway 148 to get up close and personal to this National Monument.

Lake Powell
is notorious for its beauty and its size. Stopping through Brian Head will cut an hour via State Route 14 to Route 89 while providing a trip through the towns lesser explored.

Activities: Paddle boarding, kayaking, boating, fishing, tubing, water skiing, wakeboarding, swimming and more.

Red Rocks National Conservation Area
is a fan favorite after placing some bets in Vegas. If the bet you placed doesn’t leave you feeling happy at least the Red Rocks can fill you with joy. Relax with us before Interstate 15 hits you with Vegas traffic.

Grand Canyon National Park
is one of the best-known National Parks in the world. Luckily we’re only a day trip away. When you stop by Brian Head Resort for your vacation’s vacation, you are given the chance to take State Route 14 to Route 89 while providing a trip through the towns lesser explored.
