Private Lessons

Why Take a Lesson?

The best way to improve your skills on the slopes or in the terrain park is to take a Private Lesson with one of our skilled ski or snowboard instructors. Maximize your fun with customized lessons for your skill level and personalized feedback and guidance! Private Lessons are available for children and adults and give you the ability to learn at your own pace! The Brian Head Winter Sports School has helped thousands of students learn how to have fun on the snow. Private lessons are available for all ages, in 2.5 and 6 hour sessions. Up to 6 students per an instructor permitted (see Family and Friends lessons below). We recommend that young children take a one-on-one lesson with our instructors. See First Tracks for ages 4 and under.

Every participant in a private group must be on the same discipline (skis or snowboard). Due to the nature of private lessons, mixing of different disciplines in a single private lesson is not available.

Due to the popularity of our Winter Sports School, reservations are highly recommended and are required during Peak Pricing Periods.

All Winter Sports School prices listed below are with a minimum of 5 days advance reservations. Add 15% with less than 5 days advance reservations, and 30% with less than 24 hours or no advance reservations.

Listed prices do not include lift passes, equipment rentals or applicable sales tax. We are only able to accommodate late arrivals if you call beforehand (lesson end time remains the same).

Special Needs Lesson Programs

Brian Head Resort continues to improve and expand the quality and variety of learning options for all of its guests.   Many of the Resort’s Winter Sports School Instructors go through specialized training over and above the standard training and certifications offered by PSIA and AASI.

The Resort’s specially trained Instructors can teach students with cognitive disabilities and many other special needs in a private lesson.  Students that require special equipment (mono or bi-ski, 3 or 4 track, etc.) will need to provide their own equipment.  Our Instructors may not be trained in all special equipment, so please call to discuss your individual needs.

Advance reservations for these specialized private lesson programs are required.  For additional information or to make your reservation email us at or call (435) 677-2035.
