Tiny Tracks (Ages 5-6) – Tiny Tracks Ski & Riglet Snowboard

Tiny Tracks is a fun environment for kids to develop skills and confidence through simple instruction and positive feedback. Children must be potty trained. Snow, carpet, or even grass, the Burton Riglet board lets us bring the learning experience home from the mountain ! With a built-in Riglet reel, safe and forgiving edgeless construction, and grippy EVA foot pads, kids can quickly jump on and develop basic skills in your own backyard while you pull them across any low-friction surface. Inserts make it easy to add bindings when it’s time to take the next step. We have these Burton Riglet Snowboards our Kids camp at Brian Head Resort!

Mountain Explorers (Ages 7-12)

Mountain Explorers and Adventure Kids helps skiers and snowboarders of all abilities progress as they explore all the fun Brian Head Resort has to offer. There are four different levels (for both skiers and snowboarders) available that will help kids progress at the appropriate rate.

Step 2 – Fill Out Safety Waiver

Be Sure to Fill Out the Waiver!
Fill out the safety waiver below for each member of your family who is skiing or snowboarding before you visit us. Your child will not be able to start their lesson if this waiver has not been completed. This will help you get out on the slopes faster.

Step 3 – Check in on Time

Weekdays – Non Holidays
Lessons begin at 10:00 a.m. Children can begin arriving at 9:15 a.m., and should arrive no later than 9:45 a.m.


Weekends & Holiday Periods
Lesson groups (kids and instructors) will begin to form as early as 9:30 a.m. Children can begin arriving at 8:45 a.m., and should arrive no later than 9:15 a.m.
Please double-check to verify your scheduled lesson time. We unfortunately are not able to refund or reschedule due to late arrival, sickness, inclement weather, or sad kids.

Step 4 – Come Back Later

Pick-Up Times
After your child has been checked in, you are good to go! For a half-day kids camp session, return to pick them up at 1:00 p.m.. For a full-day kids camp session, return at 3:30 p.m.

Reservations Required

To guarantee your lesson, reservations are required at least 48 hours in advance. Reservations cancelled at least 48 (forty eight) hours prior to the lesson start date will be eligible for reschedule or a full refund. Reservations cancelled less than 48 (forty eight) hours prior to the lesson start date, or no call/no shows, are not eligible for a refund or reschedule. No refunds will be issued due to inclement weather or driving conditions, or for late arrivals. Walk-in lessons are based on availability and not guaranteed. If you have any questions or need to make changes to your reservations, please call us at (435) 677-2035.

Kids Camp Group Lessons

Our renowned Kids Camp programs, offer snow instruction in a fun and relaxed learning environment with full and half-day programs available for children ages 5 to 12. Our First Tracks program is a 2 1/2 hour private lesson for children ages 3 and 4. All programs include lessons, an all day lift ticket and equipment rentals. Full day programs also include lunch.

​Due to the popularity of our Winter Sports School, reservations are highly recommended, and are required during Holiday Periods. Add 5% with less than 5 days advance reservations, and 15% with less than 24 hours or no advance reservations. Prices do not include applicable sales tax. We are not able to accommodate late arrivals.

Never Ever
  • First time – never been before/not confident at all.
  • Has been before but not ready to load the chair lift.
  • Requires a first time lesson refresher.
Beginner
  • Green runs remain a bit of a challenge.
  • Prefers a slower pace.
  • Able to put ski/snowboard on/off with little or no help.
  • Can load the chair lift.
  • Knows how to stop on demand and make some turns.
  • Have been before for 1-3 days or haven’t been for a long time.
Intermediate
  • Very confident on Green Runs.
  • Can control speed and link turns.
  • Able to take ski/snowboard on/off freely.
  • Able to stand up alone after a fall.
  • Blue runs can be challenging.
Advanced
  • Very comfortable on Blues.
  • Lessons take place at Giant Steps Lodge.

Lessons begin at 10:00AM and children ought to begin arriving at 9:15AM. 

Holiday Periods
Lessons begin at 9:30AM, 10:00AM, 10:30AM or 1:30PM
depending of your reservation and children ought to begin arriving 45 minutes before the lesson start time.

All full-day and afternoon lessons end at 4:00PM

Children should not arrive any later than 30 minutes before the lessons start time – or their lesson WILL BE REVOKED.
